As promised, here's the final list of all the entries—I hope some of these spark your summer sewing. Woven dresses were definitely popular, but I was so impressed with the range of patterns—Big 4, Indie and Self-Drafted—and style.
My co-hosts and I, Alessa of Farbenfreude, and Sarah of Rhinestones and Telephones, are putting our heads together to pick winners!

jill with love
Some of you sewed for others or used the opportunity to refashion old makes. Others had projects that just didn't work out (I feel you, ladies—this month's chambray skirt is a dud, too). Personally, I really liked the focus it brought me in an otherwise busy month and I've been wearing my knit dress at least once a week!
But I'd love to hear how the sew-along was for you. Did you like focusing on a single garment? Have you been finding it a useful addition to your wardrobe? What might you/we do differently?
Happy sewing all!

I like entering sew-alongs because it motivates me to finish my garment and it's a lot of fun seeing others finished garments. Thanks for hosting!!
ReplyDeleteI loved this sewalong! It was nice to have a low-pressure deadline to make a basic-- I often get swept up in other sewalongs for patterns that are so cute, but not necessarily something I need or will wear that often. So it's really nice to have an excuse to work on wardrobe staples together! Thanks again for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI also loved thi sew along. It gave me the impetus to get on with my dress without being overloaded with too many projects.Thank you for hosting. I haven't had much time to check out other partipants' final pieces yet but hope tp catch up soon. Lots of new-to-me blogs there! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous list of summer sewing! Thanks so much for hosting! - Amy of Sew Well
ReplyDeleteI really loved this sew along as it inspired me to make something I actually needed and would wear on a daily basis. It was also nice not being on any time constraints. I look forward to the next one.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this sewalong! I'm so glad I got to participate, and wouldn't have changed a thing! Great job ladies, and thanks for the lovely round-up!
ReplyDeleteMy process is different: first I made the dress, and then I realized it could participate in this sew along. That's how my brain works, and that's the name of my blog, what can I do with this?
ReplyDeleteFirst is the fabric, the materials, and then the idea comes.
But I have to say I enjoyed with this project and knowing other sewist!
What a great round up. It's great to see what everybody made and it was great to focus on one garment. It certainly pushed me to work on the project! Thanks so so much!
ReplyDeleteeveryone's work is so inspiring! thanks for featuring my dress. i probably should have focused more on pants for summer wear but i'm sure i'll get a ton of use out of the 2 dresses i made as well.
